Remember our past. Support our present. Shape our future.
Through various types of programs Orleans Community Health Foundation offers ways for the community to be connected to their local healthcare system. We have several different opportunities to volunteer. Maybe you want to work a few hours in the hospital on a routine basis. Or maybe you want to volunteer a little bit here and there. Maybe you are well connected in the community and want to help share what we are up to witnin your circle of influence. All these are available in the Volunteer section below.
Through our Grateful Patient program we offer a way for you to thank and recognize those that took care of you whether it was at one of our dialysis centers, at our clinic in Albion, or when you had an ER visit in Medina. You may want to thank someone that helped calm your nerves during your MRI, or it may have been your nurses, aides and doctors that were there for you during a hospital stay. No matter what service we provided, no matter when it was, we want to hear your stories of how we have been there for you.
Lastly, we would like to connect with local businesses as partners in our Health Connector program. We are both vital organizations to our community and with a partnership of financial support you can help us continue to serve this community and be here for you in your time of need.
och Volunteering Options
Volunteering with the Orleans Community Health Foundation can have an impact to last for generations:
The heart of a volunteer is made of gold – You are precious to us!!!
Traditional OCH Foundation volunteers don’t have a set schedule and we are really flexible. Our volunteers help on an as needed basis with office administration activities such as mailings, data entry and helping to edit publications. We also have several community members enrolled to help with planning and executing fundraising and stewardship events throughout the year. Some help with all events and others help with only the ones they are interested in. For more information on volunteering in the Foundation office, click below.
OCHF Ambassadors are active community members that are willing to speak on behalf of Orleans Community Health Foundation at local committee meetings, attend special events, assist with fundraising by engaging with potential donors and more. You would be updated on current campaigns and Orleans Community Health initiatives at our semi-annual meetings. For more information on becoming an ambassador or to apply, please click the link below.
MMH TWIG members contribute to the care of our community… and that is a treasured gift to the hospital, the people we serve and to yourself. Volunteer TWIG opportunities are available in almost every department, including but not limited to clerical, clinical, fundraising, IT, maintenance, patient advocacy, physical therapy, and patient transportation. If you are interested in being a TWIG member or hospital volunteer, please call Jeanne Crane (585) 737-6903 or Mary Williams (585) 798-8148 for more information.
Grateful Patient PRogram
Share the care that you’ve been given with others.
Your care is the top priority when you visit any of the Orleans Community Health sites. Whether you’ve come for a procedure, testing, or an emergency, our doctors, nurses, technicians and staff want to make sure you feel comfortable while you’re receiving care. Sometimes our patients thank us with warm smile or handshake; and sometimes our patients and their families choose to express their gratitude with charitable gifts to help us care for even more patients. Mostly, we would love to hear your story.
By sharing your personal story you also have the opportunity to thank a member or members of our care team that made a difference to you. Once your story is submitted we recognize that staff at our monthly Leadership meetings and by directly sharing your gratitude with them.
Corporate Giving Program
Let’s do business together.
As Health Connectors, business and corporations have the opportunity to support the Orleans Community Health Foundation annually in order to be more proactive in their charitable sponsorship budgeting and receive fewer requests from us. Any corporation or business can become a Health Connector and find a spot within this multi-level program that works for their budget. Each level offers robust recognition and marketing opportunities, and a three-year pledge commitment at any of the levels earns distinguished placement on our donor wall in the lobby of Orleans Community Health Medina Memorial Hospital. If your business or organization is interested in incorporating Orleans Community Health in its business plan, contact the Foundation office at (585) 798-8426 to set up an information session.
